Missions for Kids

Our Mission

A woman stood in her kitchen in Sarasota, Florida, watching her children color at the table. They were drawing people, stick figures with yellow hair and blue eyes, every one of them. She thought about the 7,000 people groups who had never heard the name of Jesus. She thought about the Ashaninka children on the banks of Peru's Ene River, the Malay Muslim kids on Christmas Island. Her own children didn't know they existed.

That needed to change.

Missions for Kids was born from that moment, a conviction that children should see the world as God sees it. Not as a map of countries, but as a tapestry of peoples, languages, and stories. Every one of them known. Every one of them loved.

What We Believe

God's heart beats for every nation, tribe, and tongue. In Revelation 7:9 (ESV), John sees a great multitude "from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne." That vision is not just a future hope; it is a present call. We believe children are never too young to hear it.

We believe in the power of ordinary faithfulness. Most families will not move overseas. But every family can pray by name for an unreached people group at the dinner table. Every child can learn to say "hello" in Kazakh, taste injera bread from Ethiopia, or write a letter for a missionary they will never meet. These small, ordinary acts of wonder are how the gospel moves.

What We Do

Missions for Kids is a free educational resource for families, homeschool groups, and churches. We publish in-depth guides on teaching children about world missions, create profiles of unreached people groups written at a child's reading level, and offer printable activities (prayer cards, coloring pages, lesson plans, and cultural crafts) to bring the nations into your home.

Everything on this site is free. Always will be.

Wonder Letters

Our sister project, Wonder Letters, delivers a hand-illustrated physical letter to your mailbox each month. Each letter is written from the perspective of a child living among an unreached people group, complete with original watercolor artwork, cultural activities, vocabulary words, and prayer guides. Fifty percent of all Wonder Letters profits support missions work through Global Serve International.

The world is wide. The God who made it is wider still.
