Hannah & Sean Hagarty

Hannah and Sean Hagarty are the creators of Wonder Letters and Missions for Kids. They are parents of ten children — seven still at home, plus the joy of two grandsons — who moved to West Asia to serve among unreached people groups.

In West Asia, the Hagartys learned a new language, adapted to a new culture, and built relationships across every boundary they had ever known. They ate unfamiliar food, stumbled through conversations in a language that was not their own, and prayed daily in a land where the name of Jesus was rarely spoken aloud. Their children grew up navigating two worlds, learning what it means to love people who see the world very differently.

When a family crisis brought them back to the United States, the Hagartys discovered that the call to missions had not ended — it had changed shape. As Hannah wrote for Missionary.com, "sending is not a consolation prize." Hannah is a guest contributor to ChildDiscipleship.com (an Awana ministry), Missionary.com, WonderLetters.com, GCDiscipleship.com, and PCA Women's Ministry. The family now supports missionaries financially, prays for them daily, and creates resources to help other families raise the next generation of world-changers.

Why We Created These Resources

Having lived among unreached people groups, the Hagartys saw firsthand how few resources existed to help children understand God's heart for the nations. Most missions education materials were either too abstract for young minds or too shallow to inspire real prayer, real compassion, and real action. They set out to create something different: content that is deep enough to be theologically trustworthy and vivid enough to capture a child's imagination.

Missions for Kids publishes free articles, people group profiles, coloring pages, lesson plans, and prayer guides — all drawn from the Hagartys' experience living cross-culturally and their deep conviction that the Great Commission belongs to every family, not just the professionals.

Wonder Letters, their monthly subscription, delivers hand-illustrated letters about unreached people groups to families across the US and Canada. Fifty percent of all profits support work among unreached peoples through Global Serve International.
